This webinar, presented by DHG Dealerships exclusively through CNCDA, will cover the expanded opportunities available to dealerships under the Employee Retention Credit (“ERC”) that resulted from the December 27, 2020 passage of the Consolidated Appropriations Act (the “Act”).  Among other changes, the Act allows employers with a Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loan to also claim the ERC.

Buddy Dearman

Buddy is the Managing Partner of DHG’s Dealership practice of more than 160 professionals, overseeing services for 3,000+ rooftops nationwide. He has more than 30 years of experience working with dealerships and their owners, and focuses primarily on all aspects of tax planning and structuring with medium and large dealership groups.

Buddy has spoken on tax topics at dealership industry events such as NADA Convention, AICPA Dealership Conference, National Association of Dealer Counsel Conference and various state dealer association meetings.

Robert Davis

A Partner in our firm’s Memphis office, Robert Davis brings more than 25 years of public accounting experience to his clients. He also gained valuable experience in the car business by spending countless hours in his father’s Lincoln-Mercury dealership when he was a child.

Currently, Robert serves dealership clients in the areas of accounting, audit, tax, and management advisory services. In addition, he is heavily involved in buy/sell agreements and litigation support services. Dealers around the country recognize Robert for his operational knowledge of automobile dealerships and the impact his Strategic Assessments have had on dealerships.

Troy Taylor

Troy Taylor joined the DHG Dallas team as a tax senior manager in, 2019. Prior to joining DHG, Troy was a tax director at the largest freight railroad in North America. He has 18 years of federal, state and local tax experience, and he also supports the Tax Market Leader within the Texas tax specialty practice.

Troy also has experience in numerous areas of sales and use tax, federal and state corporate tax provisions, and investigating and securing tax incentives and credits in multiple states. Troy serves clients in a variety of industries including insurance, manufacturing, retail, dealerships, and technology.

In addition to supporting client work, Troy is also involved with talent acquisition and business development.
