Monday group excursions are $99 per person. During the registration process, you will be able to choose one of the following:
Monday Afternoon Excursions
Exclusive Half-Day Kohala Waterfalls Hike Adventure
Join us on a guided adventure to a private waterfall! The excursion begins with a scenic drive, as a naturalist guide reveals the region’s natural beauty, Hawaiian legends and sugarcane history, transporting guests from the rugged lava rock terrain of the resort coastline, past rolling green pasturelands and through locked gates to the lush windward jungles of North Kohala. The exclusive loop trail, surrounded by private nature reserve, offers a peaceful setting for 1-2 miles of light hiking along two streams with several waterfalls, three bridges, an ancient Hawaiian agricultural site and historic sugarcane irrigation flumes. Along the trail, enjoy the option to cool off in a refreshing mountain stream with cascading falls overhead.
Wear comfortable closed-toe walking shoes, bathing suit under clothing, a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and a light pullover.
Departure: 1 pm, Approximate Return: 6 pm
Golf at the Hualalai Golf Course
We cordially invite you to join us and play the Hualalai Golf Course.
Crafted with sensitivity to its unique environment, the 18-hole Jack Nicklaus–signature championship course winds over 7,100 yards, beginning in a lush oasis that flows across bright-green fairways contoured against black lava, then returns to the ocean for the final holes.
For more information on the course, click here.
Shotgun start at 1 pm.
Monday Evening Excursions
Night Manta Ray Snorkel
Go home and tell your family and friends that you did something they’ll never believe- you participated in a feeding frenzy in the warm waters of the Pacific Ocean in the darkness of night with creatures as large as 16ft across and weighing 1000lbs. The Travel Channel named this tour one of the 10 things you must do in your lifetime, and they would be correct. An amazing and unique experience that may only be done at 3 places on the entire planet.
The check-in and point of departure are just minutes from the Island’s most successful and consistent manta ray viewing location. These graceful and glorious giants soar beneath you as you leisurely and safely view them from above, just feet from the boat and the mouth of Keauhou Bay. A nocturnal ballet you won’t soon forget.
Departure: 5:45 pm, Approximate Return: 8:35 pm
Manuna Kea Summit & Stars Adventure
The summit of Mauna Kea is renowned as the world’s greatest astronomical observing site. It is also one of Hawaii’s most sacred cultural sites. Begin your tour with a dinner stop featuring a hot, picnic style dinner at The Onizuka Center for International Astronomy Visitor Information Station. After dinner, we make our way to the summit for a sensational sunset. Stand in awe at the top of the world’s tallest volcano amidst the largest collection of telescopes on earth and some of the most dramatic scenery you’ll ever witness. After, at a more comfortable lower elevation, you’ll sip hot cocoa and explore our solar system as your private star-show guide reveals the wonders of the night’s sky and polynesian starelore through our 11in celestron telescopes. NEW! View deep space objects on a state of the art astrophotography digital telescope. Using similar technology as the Hubble Telescope, guests can take home digital photos of deep space objects visible in the night sky during their tour.
Departure: 3:15 pm, Approximate Return: 10:35 pm
*Not recommended for persons with respiratory, circulatory or heart conditions, pregnant women, or those in poor health.
