Director of Legal and Regulatory Affairs
Anthony Bento is the Director of Legal and Regulatory Affairs at the California New Car Dealers Association. As the Director of Legal and Regulatory Affairs, Anthony serves as CNCDA’s in-house general counsel, a role that involves day-to-day legal matters, such as negotiating contracts, monitoring industry legal developments, and managing the Association’s outside counsel. Anthony also monitors and works with California’s various regulatory agencies on issues impacting California’s new car dealers. Finally, Anthony serves as the primary point of contact for members seeking assistance through CNCDA’s legal hotline.
Prior to working at CNCDA, Anthony was an Associate at Kronick Moskovitz, a Sacramento-based law firm. At Kronick, Anthony represented business and organizations throughout California.
Anthony earned a J.D. from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law and B.A. from the University of California, Santa Cruz. During law school, Anthony was inducted into the Order of the Coif honors society, he was the Chief Legislation Editor of the McGeorge Law Review, and he clerked at California’s Third District Court of Appeal. Anthony is an avid skier and photographer.
