Alisa also previously worked on zero-emission vehicle issues and automated vehicle policy for Mercedes-Benz Research & Development North America, and served as the company’s representative regarding zero-emission vehicle consumer marketing efforts in California and the Pacific Northwest. Alisa started her advocacy career at the California Chamber of Commerce and then the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce, where she worked on a variety of issues specific to California businesses in the areas of environmental law, transportation policy, and small business issues.
A California native, Alisa earned dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Communication and Political Science from the University of Southern California and a J.D. from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. Upon graduation from law school, she earned a Capital Certificate in Public Law & Policy and a Capital Commendation Award for Public Service at the highest level. While at McGeorge, Alisa served as both Secretary and Vice President of the student body and spent two summers in Guatemala and London studying international business law and politics.
