PROGRAM MANAGER, AUTOMOTIVE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS (CNCDA Foundation)

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Program Manager oversees and coordinates educational programs that engage youth in the automotive industry. This role involves developing, implementing, and managing innovative programs supported by educational grants, fostering partnerships with schools and community organizations, and promoting career pathways in the automotive field. The Program Manager ensures program alignment with industry trends, educational standards, and funding objectives while driving impactful learning outcomes for youth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Program Development & Implementation:
Design and execute educational programs that inspire youth to explore automotive careers, integrating STEM principles and hands-on learning.
Secure and manage educational grants to fund program initiatives.
Ensure programs align with educational standards, grant requirements, and industry best practices.

2. Stakeholder Engagement:
Build and sustain partnerships with schools, colleges, community organizations, and automotive industry leaders.
Serve as a liaison between students, educators, industry partners, and funding bodies.

3. Grant Management:
Monitor grant budgets and ensure compliance with funding requirements.
Track and report program outcomes to grant providers and stakeholders.

4. Staff Supervision & Training:
Recruit and train a team of volunteer educators and industry professionals.
Manage a staff program coordinator, while providing mentorship and professional development.

5. Program Evaluation & Quality Assurance:
Develop metrics to assess program effectiveness and impact on youth participants.
Work with Program Coordinator to conduct regular evaluations to identify areas for improvement.
Implement data-driven strategies to enhance program delivery and outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

1. Experience and Education:
5+ years of experience developing and managing youth-focused educational programs required, preferably in partnership with schools or community organizations.
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, Automotive Technology, or a related field preferred.
Proven experience managing reporting for educational grants.

2. Industry Knowledge:
Understanding of STEM-based education and curriculum development preferred.
Familiarity with the automotive industry, including emerging technologies and workforce trends, a plus.

3. Skills:
Strong organizational abilities.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, and Google.

5. Travel required within California: 10% of time

SALARY RANGE: $75,000 – $85,000 (based on qualifications and experience)
