California New Car Dealers Scholarship Foundation Awards 63 Auto Tech/Auto Management Scholarships

The California New Car Dealers Scholarship Foundation has awarded scholarships to 63 California students enrolled in post-secondary automotive technology or automotive management programs for 2010-2011. 

Five students were awarded a total of $11,300 for purusing an Auto Management degree at Northwood University's California program at Cerritos College. The winners are as follows:

  • Obdulio Rivera
  • William Hatch
  • Gabriel Guiterrez
  • Christian Rodriquez
  • Adrian Provenza

Odulio Rivera received the Jay Gorman Education Scholarship award for outstanding academic achievement and William Hatch received the CNCDA/ADOMA scholarship which includes a $1,000 donation by ADOMA – the Auto Dealers Office Management Association.   Since 1995, the Foundation has awarded scholarships to students pursuing Automotive Marketing/Management degrees from Northwood University, which, in addition to southern California, has campuses in Michigan, Texas and Florida.

In addition to the Auto Management awards, 58 students were given Auto Technology awards totaling $42,500 to aid in their pursuit of careers as automotive technicians in new car dealerships. Thirty-one of these students are in factory-specific programs. Overall, 21 California community colleges or tech schools are represented by these students. The winners are as follows:
